Avago offers PAs for wireless data over WiMAX and WiFi

Avago Technologies recently announced two high-linear power-amplifier (PA) modules that were optimized for low power consumption and improved signal quality in 2GHz WiMAX, WiFi, and LTE applications. Housed in a miniature 5 by 5 by 0.85 mm package, the PA is well suited for use as a final stage PA in high-power applications in the 2300 to 2700MHz range.

I don;t know how good it is, but if you go to the "Learning Zone" page on the DECTweb.com site you'll find reference to a book called "Cordless Telecommunications Worldwide".

The page (http://bit.ly/49BHxr) says that "This is the comprehensive reference work (536pp) for the cordless telecomms industry, embracing technology and commercial issues." It also says that the book "includes several chapters explicitly devoted to DECT standards, access profiles, implementation, etc."

I am currently investigating DECT wireless modules and infrastructure but I am finding it difficult to find good technical information on this wireless infrastructure, modules available and suppliers. Any information on DECT would be of great help.

A friend just mailed me a link to the Midnight Science Crystal Radio Hobbyist's site and I had to share it with the Wireless Community. It's a wonderful place to get back to the basics of wireless. You'll find lots of how-too articles that both kids and adults can enjoy. I may try building their "Oat Box" radio kit with my daughter!!

Check it out at http://www.midnightscience.com/index.html

Well, if you found this site you know that we are up to something really different here. Welcome to the Wireless Community on TechBites, and I am happy that you are here. Go ahead and become a member, and in the coming days, content that I have been posting in the Articles, Blogs, Reviews, and Ingenuity sections will start appearing on this page. But please, don't wait for me to get started. If you are here and have something to say or post about wireless systems design, go ahead! Feel free to "add content" in any of the article type categories as well, but be sure to include Wireless as your first keyword, then we'll know that it will get highlighted on our community main page.

This is a whole new way of bringing you scientific, design, and technical information. We are asking the members to share what they know and ask about what they don't. I think it will be a great ride, so why don't you come along? (And tell your friends...) Join the Wireless Community today!
