Whatever happened to Mark Hampton of Certess? This is a blog that Max would definitely put under the Cool Beans category. Last week, a friend and colleague called to talk to me about a new venture he is working on. The person in question is Mark Hampton, one of the founders and CTO of Certess that was bought by Springsoft recently. Certess had developed software that did intelligent mutation analysis, which would tell you in an objective way just how good your testbench was at detecting bugs in the design. If it can’t detect injected bugs, then it clearly has no hope of detecting real bugs. |
